What is a digital khata book (digital bahi khata) and how does it work?

A digital khata book is the paper bahi khata on your phone: you record credit given and payments received for each person, and the app keeps the balance, shows totals and can send reminders and statements. Good ones work offline and in Urdu.

Pharmacy credit and cash book: a medical store’s hisab, without a patient file

A medical store can keep credit customers and a daily cash book in Munshi, the khata app from DIGIT, the same way a shop keeps any other udhaar. The entry is a name, a date and an amount. It is not a diagnosis, a batch number or an expiry date, and Munshi does not give medical advice or track stock.

Digital bahi khata: what it is and how it works

A digital bahi khata is the same credit register a shop already keeps, kept on a phone so each person has a balance. Munshi, from DIGIT, is that book: customer and supplier credit, a cash book, bank accounts and expenses, in English or Urdu. It does not manage stock, invoices or barcodes.

Munshi, from DIGIT, keeps the people, the drawer and the expenses on one phone, in English or Urdu. It does not count packets on the shelf.
