Which Easy Khata this page means
The name Easy Khata is used by more than one Android app. This page is only about Easy Khata, Apka Digital Khata, from Bazaar Technologies (Private) Limited, package com.tech.bazaar.easykhata. The English Play page we opened points to bazaartech.com/fintech, support email hello@bazaar-tech.com, and a Karachi address. It was updated on 23 October 2026. A search the same day also showed a different app titled Easy Khata, package com.easykhata.app, from AnantaTech Hub Private Limited, describing GST invoices and Indian-rupee plans. That is a different product. Read the developer name before you install.
What Bazaar’s listing actually says
The English Play page calls Easy Khata a digital udhaar and khata book for credit and for cash in and out. It says you can open a new khata, add customers from your contacts, and record udhaar or expenses with details. It says business reports can be downloaded and shared as PDF. It names the languages English, Urdu and Sindhi (the listing also prints the words in Sindhi and Urdu script). It says the app is for kiryana and general stores, mobile shops, hotels, bakeries, garments, pharmacies and personal use, among others.
On price, the listing says the app is 100% free and that there are no charges for use. We did not find a subscription table on that page, and we did not see a “Contains ads” label in the header. That does not prove a wallet feature is free. The listing mentions earning through mobile load and bill payment. We did not test those payments or their fees. The “3x faster” line on reminders is Bazaar’s claim, not a test we repeated. The page also does not say whether a reminder leaves without you pressing Send. Send one to your own number and watch.
Security on the listing is a fingerprint lock, a PIN, and backup over the internet. The page does not clearly say that a new entry can be saved with the phone in airplane mode. Test that yourself. The data-safety form says the app may share personal info, financial info and six other data types with third parties, that data is encrypted in transit, and that you can request deletion. “May share” is the developer’s Play declaration. It does not, by itself, tell you who receives the data or why. Read their privacy policy before you put customer phone numbers in.
The ratings block showed 4.0 stars from 33.8K reviews. The heading showed 4.0 stars and 34K reviews. The English page did not show a download total, so we are not quoting one.
What Munshi does, and what it leaves out
Munshi is the khata app from DIGIT. On the phone it is named Munshi. The App Store title is Munshi Khata App. The Play package is pk.digit.munshikhata, and the site is munshi.com.pk. It records customer and supplier credit, a daily cash book, bank accounts and expenses, in English or Urdu, including right-to-left statements. Entries stay on the phone offline and sync later. Backups sit on the phone, with an optional Google Drive copy. One account holds up to five businesses. A reminder opens WhatsApp already written, and you press Send. Nothing goes out by itself. The download is free. A few small ads, marked Ad, pay for the servers, and they stay off the screen while you add an entry, sign in, unlock or send a reminder. Names, phone numbers and amounts are not shared with advertisers. PDFs for this month and last month are free. A longer range or an Excel file opens after a short ad you choose to watch, and the file is still made if no ad loads. See why Munshi is free. Munshi does not manage stock, invoices or barcodes.
Where Easy Khata is the closer fit
Easy Khata is the closer listing if you want Sindhi as well as Urdu, SMS reminders beside WhatsApp, and PDF reports described as free. It is also the practical choice when your staff already live in that app, or when a supplier has handed you a book that is already there. Moving a khata has a cost. We did not verify how Bazaar’s wallet or mobile-load tools connect to the ledger, so ask their support on the number printed on the listing, +92 308 7776776, before you rely on those.
Where Munshi is the closer fit
Pick Munshi if the statement you send on WhatsApp has to be in Urdu script, right to left, and if you want the reminder to wait for your thumb on Send. Pick it if you also want bank accounts and a cash book in the same free app, and if you run a second business that must not share customers with the first. Five businesses is the limit on one Munshi account.
Pick Munshi if Easy Khata’s data-safety line gives you pause. Our rule is specific: names, phone numbers and amounts are not shared with advertisers. That does not mean no company helps us run servers. It is the promise to hold us to. Munshi is also the closer fit on iPhone. We did not confirm an App Store listing for Bazaar’s Easy Khata that day. Munshi is on Android and iPhone.
How to test both in one afternoon
Add the same five customers and the same rupee entries in both apps. Turn on airplane mode and add one more entry. Send yourself one reminder and note whether you had to press Send, and whether an SMS left as well. Export one statement and check the Urdu and the total. Then keep the paper register for a week.
